Kid Cudi Is Getting an Off-White Collab on a Sneaker Designed by Virgil Abloh

Kid Cudi has designed a sneaker collaboration with the brand founded by his late friend Virgil Abloh.

The Kid Cudi x Off-White Out of Office was revealed in an Instagram post by the artist and designer. It takes the existing model in a predominantly white colorway and transforms the arrow motif into an oversized panel loosely attached with new series of arms sprouting off of it. Alongside the shoe will come a capsule of hoodies also designed by Kid Cudi.

Designed by Abloh, the Out of Office has been a fixture of Off-White‘s slate since it was first introduced in 2020. It’s intended as a “blank palette” for everyday wear, and its chunky silhouette is inspired by tennis shoes from the late-’80s and early ’90s.

Another of Abloh’s designs will make a highly anticipated return this month with the Air Jordan 1 “Alaska” now carrying Virgil Abloh Archives branding rather than the original Off-White marks.

Abloh founded Off-White in 2013, and in 2019 he sold its parent company New Guards Group to Farfetch. LVMH then acquired a 60 percent stake in Off-White in 2021 before selling it to Bluestar Alliance in 2024. After Abloh’s passing in 2021, Ib Kamara was appointed as art & image director and still holds the role today.

As longtime members of Kanye West’s circle, Kid Cudi and Abloh held a close friendship. Creative work with the two included Abloh designing a T-shirt and vinyl cover for the album “Leader of the Delinquents” and Kid Cudi walking in one of Abloh’s Louis Vuitton shows.

Release details are still to come on the Kid Cudi x Off-White Out of Office, but Footwear News will keep you abreast of any updates.
