Serena Williams Returns to Wimbledon’s Center Court

Serena Williams marked her return to The Championships, Wimbledon tennis Grand Slam on Tuesday in London wearing a coordinated Nike tennis kit.

The venerated athlete and 23-time Grand Slam champion wore a tennis skirt and sleeveless cropped top with a matching long-sleeve warm-up jacket. The white fabric of the coordinated Nike look featured a small cutout motif throughout.

The small cutouts created an illusion polka dot effect. Despite Wimbledon‘s strict on-court tennis whites dress code, bits of color featured throughout the ensemble, including the Nike logo and at the waistline of the cropped top and tennis skirt.

Williams added wrist bands and wore a white headband to boot. She also wore white Nike tennis shoes to complete her on-court ensemble. The athlete accessorized her on-court tennis kit with earrings and a necklace.

Much like her sister Venus Williams, Serena’s on-court style has long been a highlight of her decades-long tennis career. One of the athlete’s last appearances at Wimbledon, which came in 2021, saw the athlete in another Nike kit with a regal bent. Williams wore a high-low skirt with a train that trailed the athlete onto center court. The last time Williams competed at The Championships, Wimbledon came in 2022.

Williams is among the players whose on-court fashion statements at the 2026 edition of Wimbledon have been a highlight. Naomi Osaka, who competed and won her first-round match on Monday, wore a custom on-court look designed by Tokyo-based couturier Hana Yagi overtop her Nike tennis kit.
