Oil jumps more than 3% as US-Iran conflict escalates

[SINGAPORE] Oil prices jumped more than 3 per cent on Monday (Jul 20), with Brent surpassing US$90 a barrel, as the United States and Iran intensified attacks in the Middle East that have curbed energy shipments in the Strait of Hormuz.
Brent crude futures climbed US$2.75, or 3.12 per cent, to US$90.85 by 2202 GMT while US West Texas Intermediate crude was at US$85.05 a barrel, up US$2.56, or 3.10 per cent. REUTERS
