Doechii Embraces Alien-Esque Beauty in Pink Body Paint & Sky-High Moto Boots at Daisy Chain Fields Music Festival

Doechii went for a full-on alien-esque look for her performance at Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields music festival held on Aug. 29 in Irvine, Calif. Other performers in the all-female festival lineup included Chappell Roan, Stevie Nicks and Alanis Morissette, among others.

The “Alter Ego” rapper towered over the crowd in calf-length platform booties in brown. The style consisted of brown worn leather uppers that transitioned to a slew of buckle and strap closures throughout. The grungy hardware gave way to thick rubber platform soles built for traction and cushioning the feet.

The chosen silhouette is akin to styles from Fly London or Steve Madden and is on par with the trending boot silhouettes we’ve seen crop up at music festivals within the past few years. Folks sporting these moto-esque booties are often looking for something durable and walkable that they can wear for hours on end without earning themselves a blister. Beyond Doechii, celebrities like Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, Emily Ratajkowski, Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber have all been spotted sporting the biker boot trend.

Tapping into those alien vibes, the “Anxiety” singer adorned her body from head to toe in neon pink paint, making for a head-turning moment. Paired with her striking paint job, Doechii wore a pink faux-fur vest layered over a lacy floral bra and micro denim shorts. The rapper’s shorts were belted. As for accessories, the musician opted to keep it simple, sporting a stack of bangles on both wrists. Her hair was gathered up into two whimsical pigtails.

Daisy Chain Fields is a music festival started by Rodrigo set to take place today, Aug. 29, in Irvine, Calif. The lineup consists of all-female acts, including Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, Doechii, and The Breeders, among others. 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales went to women-centered non-profits. Thanks to her ticket sales, Rodrigo was able to raise over $20 million.
