Selena Gomez Goes From Sheer Black Pumps to White Stilettos in 24 Hours

Selena Gomez went from sheer black pumps and capri pants to white stilettos and sculptural cream separates in just under 24 hours. Although nearly everything else changed between her two New York looks, she held onto a pointed, high-heeled silhouette for both monochromatic styles.

While out in Tribeca on Thursday, Gomez wore Gianvito Rossi‘s Gianvito 105 pumps in white. The shoes appears to be the lamb leather iteration, although the Italian label also produces the style in white silk satin.

The pair had smooth white uppers, low-cut curved vamps and sharply pointed toes. Slender 105 mm stilettos, equivalent to just over 4 inches, supplied the height. The Gianvito Rossi is one of the luxury footwear label’s signature designs and currently retails for $850 in an extensive collection of colors and finishes.

Gomez stayed within a narrow white-and-cream palette for the rest of her look, wearing a high-neck cream top with voluminous sleeves and a fitted midi skirt cut with an asymmetrical hem. Layered panels and oversized brown buttons gave the waist a more constructed shape.

She carried Longchamp’s Le Looong Shoulder Bag in the color Vanilla. She accessorized with gold hoop earrings, which payed off the gold hardware of the bag, along with rings and a pair of narrow black sunglasses.

The clean leather pumps followed a considerably more revealing pair of black heels Gomez wore Wednesday. Those shoes appeared to be Giuseppe Zanotti’s Guêpière 105 pumps. The Guêpière is made from black nylon mesh and designed with an elongated toe, a geometric neckline and a tapered 105 mm heel.

For that outing, Gomez coordinated the transparent footwear with a sheer black short-sleeve top worn over a black bra and closely fitted capri pants — a style combination that Jordyn Woods, Monica Barbaro and more stars have leaned into over the past few months.

She carried Chanel’s quilted 25 Small bag on a chain strap. The mesh across the pumps allowed her skin to remain visible down to the toes, continuing the transparency of the shirt without requiring another exposed layer.

Thursday’s Gianvito Rossi pair took the opposite approach. The opaque white uppers created a clean break beneath the slightly darker cream skirt, but the low vamp still left much of the top of each foot exposed. Both pairs used narrow heels and elongated toes, giving two otherwise opposing outfits a similar line from the knee down.

The Gianvito 105 is already familiar territory for Gomez. In May, she wore the pump in blush satin for dinner at Gymkhana in London. That pair blended closely with her skin and accompanied Cult Gaia’s brown Ola dress, a glittering knit design trimmed with hand-sewn beaded fringe.

Gomez has moved through several footwear styles during her latest stay in New York. On Tuesday, she wore Tony Bianco’s $155 Tropic mules with another all-black outfit consisting of stirrup pants, a turtleneck and a long cardigan. The open-toe shoes had wide padded thong straps, squared toes and 1.4-inch kitten heels.
