Shopify Hosts Aureum’s Pop-up Called ‘The Gallery’
More than five years ago, Aureum launched thanks in part to Shopify, which helped the company get off-and-running, scale up and manage its business. Now the company has unveiled its second annual pop-up event in New York’s shopping-centric SoHo neighborhood in Shopify’s store there.
The minimalist space is a place for consumers to discover luxury accessories and other finds, and to get a better understanding of Aureum’s craftsmanship, intentional design and community. Called “The Gallery,” the pop-up is designed in the same vein as its name, and it will be open through Sunday at 131 Greene St.
The Gallery highlights Aureum’s design philosophy and craftsmanship through presentations and installations. The furniture and décor were provided by Andrianna Shamaris, Galerie Was, and LES Collection. Guests at Thursday’s opening night party indulged in food and libations that were set up by Carbone and Casa Amigo.
Founded in New York more than five years ago, Aureum’s roots in the city are key to its identity. That home base also makes up the brand’s largest community. Visitors to the pop up will also find the brand’s first handbag, “the Vittoria Bag,” which was made in Florence with full-grain Italian leather and minimal hardware and logos.
Co-founder Cass DiMicco said, “In a digital-first world, physical spaces are more meaningful than ever. Our products are rooted in touch, the feel of full-grain Italian leather, the weight of fine craftsmanship, and those qualities can’t be fully experienced online. Pop-ups allow us to connect personally with our community, share the story behind each piece, and create moments that last beyond the transaction.”
