Damson Madder to Promote Fall 2026 Collection in New York with Five Live Acts at the SoHo Playhouse
CURTAIN RAISER: British clothing brand Damson Madder is taking to the stage in New York this week, staging five live acts on Sept. 9 at the SoHo Playhouse, an off-Broadway venue. The show, “Press Play Live!,” riffs on the name of the brand’s fall 2026 collection, “Press Play.”
It will feature performances by the writer, artist and performer Mackenzie Thomas, leading lady of the brand’s new ad campaign, and star of sold-out, one-woman show “I Said What I Said.” Lauren Fern, Angela Trimbur and Marie Faustin will also perform as part of the stage event.
Damson Madder was founded in 2020 by former high street fashion buyer Emma Hill, and is based in north London with a staff of 60 women. The collections feature recycled and organic fabrics and dyes, while the mood is wholesome, romantic and youthful.

It shows collections in-season and sells at stores including Liberty, Fenwick, Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie. Prices range from around 60 pounds for a blouse, to 75 pounds for a minidress, and 200 pounds for a wool blend coat.
Earlier this week, the brand unveiled the “Press Play” fall/winter 2026 campaign, which it described as a “love letter to indie cinema, turning the seasonal [girl] into the protagonist of her own arthouse film.” The video was shot as the trailer to a movie that doesn’t exist, and references cult indie film and TV from the 2000s and 2010s.
The collection, which is in-store and online now, features outerwear such as the reversible Jerry organic cotton trench, which comes in a longer length this season. The original Liu cinched waist raincoat has been updated in tonal burgundy, while the Athena style comes in navy blue and black with butter yellow sleeve detailing. There are also reversible puffer jackets and wool blend coats.
The collection also features cotton slogan t-shirts with phrases including, “I Love Reading for Fun” and “Press Play.” Knitwear includes cardigans with visible seams and double layered pieces made from wool, merino wool and a wool/cashmere blend. There are also midi-skirts in earth tones, wide-leg trousers, and skirts with asymmetric hems.
