Weather Forecast: Mostly dry streak continues into June
Rochester’s only disruption to a completely dry streak since Memorial Day came with a quick line of showers Thursday morning. A similar disruption is possible tonight; otherwise, we’re keeping the rain away.
A weak cold front is descending south from eastern Canada overnight tonight. This may slide a quick sprinkle through WNY, but chances are low.

This feature more likely just cools temperatures a bit for Monday– expect highs in the mid/upper 60s. Abundant sunshine will accompany the day. In fact, very little cloud cover is present through Wednesday.
Clouds may thicken a bit Thursday and Friday, but the chances of rain remain low. Temperatures after Monday will warm by a few degrees each day, potentially returning to 80° as early as Thursday.
The large, stagnant ridge that’s kept our area dry for so long is finally breaking down towards the end of the work week. This will open up an avenue for rain next weekend. Timing this far out is still uncertain, but the general idea is that wetter weather will resume at that point.
